Can you just check and make sure that the folder path to the external drive is included in the list of shared folders in the Cinq Server Manager?  Also, if you are using iPhoto and that is where your iPhoto library is located, you can check the box to use iPhoto and then ensure that you select the correct location for the external drive.  I will test to see what happens when an external drive is removed from a system to see if we keep the path on reconnections.

My iPhoto library is on an external HD.

Only the most recent photos are showing up on my iPhone under "Photos App".

I'd like to access all of my photos.

This used to be the case with the older version, I think.

Richard,

We currently save the exact number of pixels displayed on the iPhone screen.  In you zoom in on a photo we will receive the enhanced resolution from the original photo but only to what is viewable on the iPhone display.

A future update will allow you to transfer the full resolution to the iPhone.

For photos taken on the iPhone we send the full photo resolution back to your computer.

Regards,

Curtis

I have just figured out how to do the folders and it works but I still get very low res images when I download them to the iPhone which for my purposes makes things pretty useless as I want to run the images through some of my iphone apps then save out again to my Mac  and 425 x 318 pixels is just not acceptable. Is this a limitation of Cinq? If so I wish it had been clearly mentioned in the apps description before i purchased it.

I have a couple of questions if anyone can help.

1. I checked "Use iPhoto Library" and could see photos fine on my iPhone. If I downloaded a picture to the iPhone however the resolution of the the image was reduced to very low res – I expected to get full resolution.

2. I unchecked the "Use iPhoto Library" (to see if this would improve the resolution) and selected my main pictures folder instead which is on an external drive. The problem is I do not see this folder on the iPhone.

Could any please help?

Thanks,
